Nekkid Twi’lek Pole Dancers
Have nothing to do with this post but it was an entertaining image brought up on a Star Wars fan site that I frequent. Also, I can’t quite completely disavow myself of the complete image as the first word is in fact pertinent to this.
As noted in my weekend adventures post I created a new Disciple of Khaine (incidentally taking the number of characters I have on the Karak-Hirn Destro tableau to six) late last night after getting a craving. One of the greatest things about WAR is its implementation of the “Tome of Knowledge”. For those not in the know this is effectively an unlockable “book” that provides you with back story and more information about various places and persons in the game. Kill a mob for the first time and you’ll unlock a portion in the Bestiary section which will give you a bit of information about it as well as bonus XP for unlocking it. You’ll see some extra unlocks then that you can try your hand at completing. This isn’t all however, each Public Quest also unlocks areas of the tome as does meeting certain NPCs and locations throughout the game. Some of the actions that you take and things that happen to you also open up bits in the book (I still haven’t spent any time actually reading through all the bits and pieces that I have unlocked, possibly thereby defeating the point of even having it). As of last night I had unlocked items worth around 37k of XP.
Now, the reason I bring this up is relating to Bandaid, my Disciple of Khaine. I know that some of these Tome unlocks come from walking around unarmoured and what better way to start unlocking them than by removing said armour from the get go. Level 1 armour being the traditional equivalent of the wet paper bag anyways. So, armed with my trusty swords I go through the starter area of the Dark Elves and try my hand at a Nordenwatch scenario. The result?
“Nice ass!”
“Thanks I work out”
“I can see that.”
That is word for word the first things spoken to another player when I entered that Nordenwatch. I am now thinking about seeing how far I can get in the game wearing nothing but an ill-conceived, hessian-like, bra and pants combo. I have dealt 500 damage and received 500 damage unarmed, I even managed to rack up the next damage dealt unlock as well. All in my first scenario and I didn’t even die once! Not bad considering I’m walking round in nothing but my undercrackers. I was planning on saving my Magus Ravenmane for later in the week to accrue some rest XP and now I know what I’ll be doing in the meantime, running naked scenarios with my DoK.
I’m sure psychologists everywhere would love to meet me!

I enjoyed that
Any chance of total nakedness or is a loin cloth a minimum requirement ?
We can only hope a hack come out sometime to allow the characters to take things a little further
